Eleanor Meade

Eleanor Frances Meade (LaRosa) 95, passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2025. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph. She is survived by her four children Patricia, Joseph, Donna and Edward, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A Bronx native, Ellie enjoyed sewing and was masterful with a needle and thread. She loved listening to Perry Como sing and watching the old black and white movies. Her holidays were filled with teaching her children and grandchildren board games and card games under the mistletoe.

A child of the Great Depression, Ellie lived a humble life that she shared with her three brothers, Peter (deceased ), Maurice (deceased) and Anthony Jr. and her two sisters Dorothy (deceased and Rosemary (deceased).

A woman of great faith, Ellie loved to volunteer at Our Lady of Refuge Church as a young mother and enjoy attending Sunday Mass at the Marian Shrine in Stony Point, NY when she later moved to Rockland County.

She will be remembered for her great faith, love of family and friends, her incredible generosity, sarcastic wit, and contagious laughter. "Many hands make light work!"
