Eleanor J. Nyquist

Eleanor J. Nyquist, 87, of Bloomfield passed away Monday, March 18th 2013 at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Stafford Springs. She was born and raised in Hartford, the daughter of the late John S. and Elizabeth (Polowitzer) Johnson, before moving to Bloomfield in 1953. She retired after 29 years working at Cigna. She is survived by her son William E. Nyquist and wife Linda of Somers, CT, two granddaughters, Melanie Zamorski and husband Jeff of Hampden, MA, Brianne Nyquist of Enfield, CT, and one great-granddaughter Kylie of Hampden, MA. She was predeceased by her brother Roy Johnson. The family would like to offer thanks for the compassionate care she received at Evergreen, especially Shawn, Laurie, and Kathy. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 465 Park Ave., Windsor with the Pastor Doug Ryniewicz officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends are welcome Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home 136 South Main St., West Hartford.
