She was born on July 27, 1923, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Charles and Kristina Esbeck. Eleanor lived in Council Bluffs and Crescent, Iowa, and Bellevue, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Harold Stacy.
Her family who celebrates her going home includes her son, Marty and his wife, Mary; her granddaughter Marcia; and great granddaughter, Koko; and her son, Ed and his wife, Rebecca; her grandson, Eric and his wife, Bethany; and her granddaughter, Kathryn.
A family burial was held on Friday, June 10, 2011. A celebration reception honoring her life and her Lord will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Heritage Ridge Retirement Community, 1502 Fort Crook Road South, Bellevue, Nebraska. Memorials will be directed by the family.

I remember Eleanor when we were teenagers together, and a group of we gals were all baptized together at the old Seventh Avenue Baptist Church. She was a dear friend of mine for many years and I have lots of fond memories of our times together.

we just lost our mom too. How sad, as I remember you parents so well from VV. those were good memoriable times. the comforting thing is--we know where they are. probably having a great reunion! Our loss is truly heaven's gain. I pray for your comfort and peace!

Oh my dear Marty and Ed.....I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Her and your dad were sweet people. I remember the good times we had at their home for youth group activities. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
