Eleno Salde, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at Mt. View Hospital due to cardiac arrest. He was 81 years old.

Born on August 18, 1943, in Midsayap, North Cotabato, Philippines, Eleno lived a life full of kindness, service, and love. He was a man of quiet strength and enduring compassion, known for being thoughtful, helpful, generous, and deeply appreciative of those around him.

Eleno shared a remarkable 49 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Alicia. Together, they built a family rooted in love and faith. He is survived by his wife Alicia, their two sons Ryan and Eric, and six cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Pacita S. Francisco, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominador Salde and Asuncion P. Salde, and his sister, Teresita S. Dionela.

Eleno's life was marked by dedication to learning, work, and service. He studied at the University of Southern Mindanao and began his career as a pilot school teacher in his hometown. Later, he worked as a technician at Dow Jones and other companies in Chicago, Illinois, where he lived for many years.

He enjoyed hobbies such as golf and basketball, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched through his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2:30 PM, with cremated remains present.

The service will feature heartfelt tributes from family members and loved ones, including scripture readings, prayers, and cherished hymns such as Amazing Grace and On Eagle's Wings. The final commendation will be accompanied by The Hand of God Shall Hold You.

Eleno will be remembered for the way he lived-with gratitude, quiet courage, and boundless love. His memory will remain a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing him.
