So sorry to hear. He will always be my Rabbi. He was instrumental in my conversion. I learned so much and enjoyed his company for breakfast and a trip with him to Israel. What a great man.

We know that we will meet in eternity and in the mean time our hearts and thoughts are with the Ben Jehuah family. We are grateful for the impact that he made on our Rabbi Messer and the graciousness and generosity he bestowed upon Simchat Torah.

Abba had a unthinkable and lasting impact in and on my family, which can only be shown by our actions through generations. This was a good day, and a good pizza!
I am comforted by faith and look forward to reconnecting for eternity.
One memory that comes to me:
I asked Abba about Moses getting in trouble for striking the rock, the punishment seemed overly severe. After explaining the guarding against Israel worshipping Moses, he then teared up explaining how much the Lord loved Moses demonstrated by how He attended to the end of his life. That passion and faith was as clear as ever.
As the grief subsides my clan is here for all the Ben-Yehuda's forever.

Praise to God for the privilege to have been influenced by this shining light, Eliezer Ben Yehuda, by exposure through Rabbi Messer/Simchat Torah Beit Midrash. He will continue to inspire throughout generations through posted interviews, written work, his soul and the lives of those he has influenced. Thank you to the family for the enriching and inspired tribute!

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda Obituary
Born in East Jerusalem, he was a child polyglot--no one ever knew what his first language was. By age 4, he spoke the Arabic of his boyhood friends and neighbors, the English of the empire occupying his homeland, the French of his mother's family... Read Eliezer Ben-Yehuda's Obituary
