Elijah Belcher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Driscoll's Valencia Street Serra Mortuary on Jan. 29, 2026.
Elijah Belcher, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and respected professional, departed this life leaving behind a legacy defined by integrity, generosity, and a spirited love for living. His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him, and his memory will continue to be cherished by family, friends and colleagues.

Elijah was preceded in death by his father, Elijah Belcher Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Belcher; his mother, Mary Kentle of Louisville Kentucky; his son Derrick Belcher; and his daughter Demetrius Daniels (Eric). He also leaves behind his brothers, Marvin Belcher and Joshua Belcher; and his sisters, Tammi Kentle-Johnson (Nate) and Precious Kentle-Smith (Andre).

Elijah embraced life with enthusiasm and a vibrant spirit. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and excursions. Known for his lively personality and ability to bring joy to any gathering, he was often described as "the life of the party." His warmth, humor, and natural charisma created lasting impressions on everyone he encountered.

Professionally, Elijah was a dedicated and skilled worker. He served at San Francisco International Airport for over 10 years as Building Maintenance Engineer, specializing in heating and cooling systems. His abilities extended well beyond his formal titles – he was an accomplished auto mechanic, a capable home renovator by choice, and a reliable problem-solver in every setting. Elijah contributed to many community initiatives, including assisting with many events at St. Paul's Church and working alongside the beloved Missionaries of Charity.

Elijah will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous heart, and the joy he brought into the lives of others. His passing leaves a profound void, yet his legacy endures through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he

created. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
