Elinor was born on October 5, 1960, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of Rose Catanesi. Elinor was a beacon of love and kindness, dedicating her life to her family and home. Elinor’s life revolved around her family, whom she cherished deeply. She took great joy in nurturing those she loved, ensuring that they were always cared for and well-fed. Her culinary talents shone brightly as she delighted in cooking and baking, creating warm and inviting meals that brought everyone together. In her leisure time, Elinor found happiness in scrolling through social media and watching her favorite cooking shows on HGTV, where she drew inspiration for her own kitchen creations. Known for her passion for Dunkin' Donuts coffee, she loved to share a cup with family and friends, lighting every gathering with laughter and warmth. A talented Diamond Painter, she found solace and joy in her artistic pursuits, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit. Elinor Hardison’s spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her boundless love and creativity. She will be missed dearly but remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in peace
Elinor is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Hardison, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She is also survived by her beloved mother, Rose Catanesi, and her children, Melissa Foy and her husband, Jacarl, Krystal Hardison, Patrice Hardison, and Charlie Hardison Jr all of Waterbury. She also leaves her brother Daniel Jones of Maine, as well as he close friend Cheryl Dunn, who has been a steadfast companion throughout Elior’s illness. She also leaves her grandchildren, Chassidy Ortiz and Jeremy Millien and is predeceased by her siblings, Donald, Michael Jones, and David Jones, as well as her sister Patricia Jennings
