Elisabeth R. Hansen, 95, of Carlisle, passed away at Sarah Todd Nursing Home on December 12th, 2025.
Born in Ludwigsburg, Germany, on February 18th, 1930, Elisabeth is the daughter of the late Eugene Raichle and Maria Raichle (Mueller.)
Elisabeth is survived by her son, Richard Hansen, daughter, Petra L. McBride (Ira), grandson, Shannon McBride, granddaughter, Sheli Byfield, and great granddaughter, Lindsay Byfield.
Elisabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. Hansen, parents, sister, Elfriede Arnold, and brother, Eugene Raichle.
Elisabeth was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She enjoyed attending church, socializing with the congregation, and the Sunday school classes. She also enjoyed knitting and going fishing with her son. Elisabeth also survived WWII while living in Germany, which is a testament to her resilience and strength. She lived a long and full life and was known for her gentle nature. She will be dearly missed.
Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
