Donna, Texas - Elisandro "Eli" Gonzalez Rodriguez, de 64 años, falleció en paz en su hogar el 12 de julio de 2025, rodeado del amor de su familia.
Nacido en Villa García, Nuevo León, México, hijo de los ya fallecidos Elisandro Gonzalez y Margarita Rodriguez, Eli asumió responsabilidades desde niño cuidando de sus hermanos. Esa experiencia lo formó como un hombre fuerte, decidido y generoso, siempre dispuesto a cuidar y apoyar a los suyos.
Con espíritu emprendedor, construyó un negocio que sostuvo a su familia, siempre a su manera y con esfuerzo constante. Era conocido por su carácter alegre y fuerte, su humor picante y su forma directa de ser. Siempre fue el alma de la reunión: bromista, a veces duro, pero auténtico.
Durante más de 20 años compartió su vida con Veronica Gonzalez, su esposa y compañera inseparable. Su amor se fortaleció incluso en las pruebas más difíciles. En sus últimos días, ella fue su mayor consuelo.
Fue un padre dedicado para Elisandro (Michelle) Gonzalez Jr., Eliazar Gonzalez, Linda Gonzalez (Alberto Jiménez), Juan José (Zoe) Gonzalez y Kelly Gonzalez, y un padrastro amoroso para Daniela, Natalie, Abigail y Amy. Su amor se expresó en su esfuerzo diario y todo lo que construyó por ellos. Su hija Janie, quien partió antes, siempre vivió en su corazón.
Le sobreviven sus hermanos Mario, Pablo, José, María Concepción, Juany, Martha, Amalia, María y Margarita, así como 15 nietos y un bisnieto que llenaron su vida de orgullo.
Le precedieron en muerte sus padres, su hija Janie y su hermano Guadalupe Cortez.
Aunque su salud se debilitó en los últimos años, su espíritu nunca se apagó. Eli deja un legado de fortaleza y entrega que perdurará en quienes lo conocieron y amaron.
