Norma Elise Humphrey, age 93, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Charter Senor Living in Jackson.
She was born on June 3, 1932 in Cedar Grove to the late Harvey Clarke and Ada Turnbow Clarke. Elisa was a member at North Jackson Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Elise was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Pappy" Humphrey; son, Wendell Humphrey; four brothers, Virgil Clarke, JC Gordon, William Andrew Clarke and Johnny Clarke; three sisters, Alva Johnson, Sue Smith and Birdie Stanford; and grandsons, Brent McAlexander, Richard Allen Humphrey and Daniel Blaine Humphrey.
She is survived by her son, Danny Humphrey (Joan) of Spring Creek; two daughters, Shelby McCann (Jerry) of Jackson and Pam McAlexander (David) of Spring Creek; two sisters, Annie Jo Kemp (Jerry) of Nashville and Marcia Wildridge of Lexington; and six grandchildren, Kim Armstrong (Tim), Kelly Farrar (Aaron), Ginger Elmore (Joey), Richard King (Bridgett), Chuck Humphrey and Blaine Allbett.
Other survivors include eighteen great grandchildren, Zach White, Kyndall Smith, Chandler Armstrong, Evan Farrar, Joe King, Will Edens, Brooklyn King, Tristen King, Adrienne McAlexander, Brinley Baugus, Legend McAlexander, Nash Humphrey, Jovi Humphrey, Joli Humphrey, Addison Sisco, Evie Allbert, Anya Lemmings and Damon Lemmings and seven great great grandchildren, Hadley, Hudson, Mason, Jean Elise, Maddie Drew, Baillor Elese, Iris Arabella and one more on the way.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Hickory Flat Church Cemetery in Cedar Grove, Tennessee. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Elise Humphrey, please visit our Tree Store.
