Joint funeral services for Derrick L. Potter and Elisha Miller Potter are 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mrs. Potter, 31 years old, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck. She was born in Camp Lejeune, NC on February 18, 1993, to Jack Miller and Bridget Tuohy Helms. She was Co-Owner of Liberty Hardscapes & Excavation, LLC.
She is survived by his sons Micheal Potter and Dominic Potter of McKenzie, her mother Bridget (Aaron) Helms of Wheatfield, IN, father Jack ( Stephanie) Miller of Terre Houte, IN, two sisters Erica Helms and Emma Helms and a brother Aaron Helms all of Wheatfield, IN and maternal grandparents Edward(Margaret)Tuohy of Demotte, IN, Rex (Donna) Myers of Wheatfield, IN and paternal grandparents Jack (Joyce) Miller of Demotte, IN.
She is preceded in death by her husband Derrick Lee Potter and Grandfather Jack Helms.
