Elizabeth Kissane Bachy

Elizabeth 'Betsy' (Kissane) Bachy, age 83, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Betsy was the devoted wife of Robert Bachy for 61 years. She was the loving mother of Dennis (late Joyce) Bachy and Darrin (Karen) Bachy; and loving grandmother of Tara Bachy, Michelle Bachy, Alexander Bachy, and Rachel Bachy. Betsy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and all who loved her. She was preceded in passing by her parents, William and Helen (Beard) Kissane; and siblings, William 'Buddy' (late Toni) Kissane and Judy Hames. Betsy was a school bus driver for the Norwin School District for 37 years. She loved to bake, especially lady locks. Church was very important to her and her Catholic faith. Betsy loved her family and they were #1 in her life. She often said 'blood is thicker than water'. She always made sure people and family got together. She was known and will long be remembered for her New Year's Eve parties. She was very kind and was there for you if you needed her. She was always there to help take care of family when they were ill. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church.
