Elizabeth “Beth” Alta Mauer died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
She was born on December 18, 1957, in Winona. After graduating High School in 1976, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Mike, on July 17, 1981. Together, they raised three beautiful children, Melina, Robert, and April.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth dedicated herself to various roles, working at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Plainview, NorthStar Foods in St. Charles, IBM in Rochester, and Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Elizabeth was a cherished member of the Catholic Daughters and Elba Homemakers, where she shared her passion for community and service. Her love for life manifested through her hobbies of crocheting, reading, dancing, socializing, watching TV, fishing, and tending to her beloved garden of flowers.
Known for her sociable and friendly nature, Elizabeth's presence could light up any room. Her warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Beth is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Melina (Tom), Robert (Rachael Stark), and April (Boyd); grandchildren, Dakotah, Natasha, Lily, and Renn; her extended Mauer Family; and her special Heiden family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George (Lennie) and Loretta (Ed); special family members, Hollis and Joanne Heiden; in-laws, Robert and Adeline Mauer; and brother-in-law, Ivan Roberts.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Beth on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1900 East 6th Street, St Charles, MN) at 11am with visitation beginning at 9am. Beth will be laid to rest at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Elba, MN.
