Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Bickham, 88, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born near Hartford City, Indiana on her grandparents’ farm on her mother’s side, to the late Rollie and Faye Marie Bullock on July 27, 1936.
She married William H. Gossard in 1953. Following their divorce, she married Vance H. Bickham, whom she considered the love of her life, on July 16, 1966.
Liz is survived by her children, Sherrie (Dennis) Stevenson, Tina (Phil) Mancuso, David (Linda) Gossard and Pam (Nick) Rogish; son-in-law, Joe Roberts; grandchildren, Amy Roberts Keller, Billie Jo (Bo) O’Brien, Brandt (Christina) Mann, Kambria (Nick Bozman) Masters, Rossi (Ana) Clark, Tyler (Kristina Smith) Stevenson, Caitlin (Olivier) Quevillion, Nathan Mancuso, Nicole Gossard and Tara Gossard; and 8 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Liz was preceded in death by her son, William H. Gossard Jr.; daughter, Deborah Roberts; sister, Betty Lannert; and brother, Clifford Bullock.
Liz was employed at DAB for nearly five years before moving to Siemens, where she worked for 27 years. She and Vance enjoyed traveling extensively with three other couples, forming close friendships along the way. After Vance's passing, Liz became involved with the Logan County Friendly Senior Center, participating in the Crochet and Knit Group twice a week and having lunch there on Wednesdays. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to forge numerous new friendships.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Huntsville Cemetery.
