Elizabeth "Dianne" Maddox Black 72, of Florence, Alabama (formerly a longtime resident of Marks, Mississippi), gained her heavenly home after an extended illness on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Ms. Dianne grew up in Birdie, Mississippi until she met the love of her life, the late Gleen Black. She and Gleen married, had a family and were longtime residents of Marks, Mississippi, until his death in 2014. She was of the Baptist faith and the best homemaker a family could ask for.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Marks Cemetery in Marks, Mississippi. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.U. (Jiggs) Maddox, Dorothy and Van Keen, her beloved husband, Glen Black, and brother, Henry Keen.
Ms. Dianne is survived by her two children, son, Joey Black (Joey) and daughter Shauanna Black (Tandy); grandchildren, Shelby Anthony (Mason), Drake Black (Katie Brett), Hunter Aldridge (Brittney); great-grandchildren, Zepplin Anthony, Clyde Aldridge, Dolly Aldridge and Maddox Aldridge; sisters, Deborah Crutchfield, Brenda Bradley, Donna Keen, Carolyn Keen and Sally Camponovo; and several other beloved and special family members.
