Elizabeth Jensen Cadotte

Elizabeth (Betty) Jensen Cadotte, age 97, of Eden Prairie, MN and Marco Island, FL, passed away on July 22, 2025, at her home in Eden Prairie. She was preceded in death by daughter, Mary; husband, Harry Jensen; and second husband, John Cadotte. Betty was born on December 6, 1927, to Henry and Charlotte Aretz. She had three siblings, Harold, Lorraine, and Beverly, all preceding her in death. Betty is survived by six children, Mike (Kelly) Jensen, Linda (Terry) Dahlstrom, Kathy Sargent, Pat (Karl) Voltzke, Sue (Randy) Sampson, and Deb (Patrick) Carney, nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Betty lived her life to the fullest. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her many friends at the Minneapolis Golf Club. Later in life, she took up tennis, playing well into her seventies. She loved her home in beautiful Marco Island, FL, entertaining friends and family there for over forty years. Boating, fishing, walking the beach, and soaking up the sun by the pool were some of her favorite things. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching tennis (especially Roger Federer), the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Betty was feisty and opinionated and wouldn't hesitate to share her views. At age 97, she was sharp as a tack, never forgetting a birthday, appointment or details of an important event. She was enthusiastic about technology, spending hours each day on her iPhone and iPad playing games, reading, and streaming mass from her church in Eden Prairie. Betty was a devout Catholic who found strength and comfort in her faith. She was compassionate, donating her time and money to organizations that were important to her. Betty loved her family. She was proud of her six children and nineteen grandchildren and all their achievements. She was blessed to be alive to experience fourteen great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. A private family service celebrating her life will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Community on August 25, 2025. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
