In God's own time and twenty-eight days after the fact another revelation has been revealed. I learned via the April 30th issue of Jet the transition of Dean Elizabeth Catlett; ten years to the day of my mother's transition and CWW's day of birth!

When I consider my space in time I'm grateful for the sensitive insights given me! As a fine arts guru, promoter & representative, dearly departed persons like: James Amos Porter, Charles White, Carl Owens, Selma Burke, Lois Mailou Jones, Edmonia Lewis, Elizabeth Catlett, Charles H. Wesley, Dorothy Porter Wesley, John Hope Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, etc. continues to charter, navigate, guide and fortify my passion to make a difference in music, history & the fine arts community.

Therefore, I pause to acknowledge another person I have learned to appreciate at a distance, wicking up whatever fortification whenever I could. I trust Dean Catlett is a soul at peace in life everlasting and that, all is well.

My genuine respect and love shall forever abide. May the spirit of my abiding esteem bring additional consolation to those who hold her near and dear to their heart; also.

What a good looking, talented and a great woman, she was indeed!

A real icon of humanity has left us, but through her creative genius, her wise, frank and honest discourse and her courage; she has left us richer.

Her example of devoted love for Pancho, her sons, and her grandchildren taught us much about unconditional love.
She earned her space on this earth.

We will miss her,

Ms. Catlett's obiturary was so beautiful. Interestingly, I had never heard of her prior to today. What a story of courage, determination and love for people. She is continuing to be a source of strength for others even in death. May our heavenly father be a source of continued comfort at this time. What a delight it will be see her in paradise as Jesus promised.
