Betty Jo Eador, 86, of Nevada, Missouri, was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday March 23, 2025. Betty and her twin brother Frank were born to William and Berniece Longfield in Denver, Colorado in 1939.
The family moved to Harwood, Missouri when she was 10 years old where she attended school. She graduated from Walker High School in 1958. She married Bob Eador of Nevada Missouri in 1961.
She was known for her brilliant blue eyes and beautiful smile. She dearly loved her grandkids and prayed for them daily. She loved all types of flowers, the wildlife surrounding the home they built together, going camping with Bobby, a good thrift or garage sale find, seeing her daughter sing on stage, and going on the Caribbean cruise with Michael and Dana, bookkeeping, square dancing, and helping missions and the less fortunate. Daniel O'Donnell was her favorite singer, and she watched his shows each week. She loved a beautiful sunset or a sky full of beautiful clouds, as it drew her mind to God and his return. Most of all, she loved her husband, Bobby, with whom she recently celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Her life's proudest accomplishments were her two children, Michael and Stephanie. She loved her family more than anything. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by both parents and her twin brother.
She is survived by her husband of the home, son Michael and wife Dana of Kansas City, and daughter Stephanie Dalton of Joplin. She is also survived by grandchildren Hannah Woolridge (Mitchell), Josiah Dalton (Hope), Shekinah Dalton; sister Kathy Keim, and many more family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
