Mrs. Elizabeth Joanne Fields, 85, of Charleston, SC, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Public Viewing for Mrs. Fields will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Smith-McNeal Funeral Home - 2119 Dorchester Road - N. Charleston, SC. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Voice of Hope Church and Worship Center - 249 St. Philip St. - Charleston, SC 29403. The Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery - 3715 Azalea Drive - N. Charleston, SC.

Mrs. Fields is survived by her children: Elizabeth Hart (James), James Fields, Jr. (Henrietta), and Latrice Fields; grandchildren: Princess Dorsey, Alicia Gage, Latarsha Fields, Karl Dorsey, Anton Gage, Corey Fields, Jr., Latavia Fields, Gene Rhodes, and London Fields; and daughter-in-law: Lashawn Fields. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fields, Sr.; son, Corey Fields, Sr.; parents: Alonzo Smalls and Theresa Meggett Smalls; and brother, Eugene Smalls, Jr.
