Elizabeth (Liz) F. Hasburgh (Neff), 68, of Avoca passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, after a battle with Dementia. Liz was born May 12, 1955, to Walter and Catherine (Pettera) Neff. On August 1, 1981, she married Dennis Hasburgh and together they farmed and milked cows on the Hasburgh family farm, in rural Avoca.
Liz graduated from Riverdale High School and SWTC. She volunteered with many organizations, including being an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, CCW and Catholic Financial Life, serving as Branch Secretary/Treasurer several years. She and Dennis were 4-H leaders, as well as being active in the Young Farmers Program, Farm First Cooperative, Foremost Farms and Accelerated Genetics. Liz was also a trustee for the AgSource DHI Foundation Board for over 20 years. She had great pride in their farm and their quality milk production. Liz enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her family, watching her daughters and grandkids play sports and exhibit 4-H projects.
Liz is survived by her husband, Dennis, three daughters, Becky Hasburgh, Middleton, Jackie (Eric) McCarville, Mineral Point, Kristi (Matt) Bruner, Boscobel; five grandchildren Alana (Trevor), Hunter and Emi McCarville, Tim and Mike Bruner; two great-grandchildren: Adeline and Hazel Gilbertson; siblings, Mary (Jim) Patten, David Neff, Mike (Vicki) Neff, Pat (Cathy) Neff, Theresa (Rod) Sander; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert, and other relatives.
