Elizabeth C. "Betty" Klausz (nee Palm), passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 100 years. Her family, the center of her world, includes her loving daughter, Elizabeth Neumann, (Heinz), and her late daughter, Jean Makowski, (the late Carl). Betty was the proud grandmother to Carl Makowski (Jennifer), James Makowski (Kate), Karen Keller (Matthew), and Kristine Robinson (Fred). The legacy of her love and teachings live on through her cherished great-grandchildren: M.J. Makowski, Rachael Makowski, William Makowski, Matthew Keller, Jr., Michael Keller, Kayla Robinson, and Kyle Robinson.
Betty was a stay-at-home mom who considered raising her family the most precious work of her life. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones upon which her beautiful family was built. She was a woman of faith, a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, where she not only worshipped but also formed lasting friendships. Her faith was as much a part of her as her love for her family, and it guided her through a century of life's joys and sorrows.
Her interests were simple yet profound, reflecting the life of a woman who cherished the company of others. Betty was an avid canasta player, delighting in the camaraderie and friendly competition of her group of longtime friends. She also found solace and joy in crochet, creating beautiful pieces that were often gifted with love.
The moments she treasured the most were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored each of them, celebrating their triumphs, soothing their sorrows, and always providing a listening ear. Betty was their biggest fan, always there to support them with a proud smile and words of encouragement.
Betty's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of devotion, compassion, and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her and be loved by her. As we bid farewell to Betty, we celebrate the century of memories she leaves behind, the lives she touched, and the enduring warmth of her spirit that will forever light the way for her family and friends.
Viewing will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where her services will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan Hospice, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
