Elizabeth Knott Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 8, 2025.
Elizabeth (Beth) Knott, 73, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.

Born June 8, 1952, in Monroe, Michigan, to Mary and Ewart Croskey, Beth was raised in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1970. She attended Olivet Nazarene University for two years before moving to Kansas City in 1975 to be near her lifelong best friends, Karen and Tim Holcomb-Densmore.

While working at L.M. Berry, Beth met the love of her life, Hubert "Carl" Knott. The two were married on February 12, 1978, and shared 36 wonderful years together before Carl's passing in 2014. They built a beautiful life and family together, welcoming their son Patrick in 1979 and daughter Darla in 1982.

Beth's caring nature and community spirit touched countless lives. From volunteering with PTA, Band Boosters, Girl Scouts, and church Caravans, to serving as the Belton School District Volunteer Coordinator, she was always there to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and cheer on her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Ewart Croskey; her beloved husband, Carl Knott; her brother, Raymond Ford; her sister, Ev Finn; and other cherished loved ones.

She is survived by her children Patrick (Rachel) Knott, Darla (Frank) Chastain, Kathy (Chris) Heckler, Thom (Denise) Knott, and Carleesa (Matthew) Duncan; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at LifeQuest Church, 1400 N. Scott Ave., Belton, Missouri.
