Youngstown--Elizabeth Ann Kunzer, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her home in Struthers.
She was born April 28, 1929, in Youngstown to the late John and Susanne Knapik.
Elizabeth went to Woodrow Wilson High, had a lengthy career as an administrative assistant with the Ohio Bureau of Employment until she retired after 30 years of service. She loved organizing reunions, civic groups, St. Luke Church. She was honored by the United Way in 1985. She was past officer for the Quota Club of Youngstown, a chapter of this international professional women business organization.
Always competitive, Elizabeth was part of card playing groups and bowling leagues for decades. Betty also loved to travel domestically and visited Italy, Ireland, Spain and Morocco.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kunzer; her parents, her brother Jack Knapik and sister Eleanor Nestor.
She is survived by her son, Rick Kunzer; sister, Dorothy Murphy; and numerous nephews and nieces, and many younger relatives.
A celebration of Betty's life will be conducted at Maplecrest Nursing Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 1 p.m.
Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
