Elizabeth Ann McCormack

Elizabeth Ann McCormack (née Devine), 97, of Burbank, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 10, 2025.

She was born on April 13, 1928, in Ballygeeher, County Leitrim, Ireland. After immigrating to the US in 1949, she became an active parishioner and member of the choir at St. Albert the Great Parish for over 60 years and also worked at St. Laurence and Queen of Peace High Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Elizabeth Devine; her husband, George McCormack; her siblings, Maime (the late John) Mulry, Kay (the late James) Ledwith, Peg (the late John) Powers, Teresa (the late Jim) Jones, Michael (the late Maura), Stephen (the late Peg), Charlie (the late Maura), and Ed (Jenny) Devine; and her grandchildren, Melissa Davidson and Connor McCormack.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Bridie (Tony) McLaughlin; her children, Elizabeth (the late Robert) Parkinson Jr., George (Patti), Steven, Daniel, John, and James (Becky) McCormack; her ten living grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 13, followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 pm at St. Norbert Catholic Church, 1809 Walters Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062. Live Stream Link.
