Aunt Betsy was an inspration. She had many interests and activities and, I figure, was a superb multi-tasker! As a teacher myself I marvel at how she taught school all day, taught piano in the evenings, and maintained many homes. Wow! Her energy, love of music, and love of travel is what nurtured her spirit. As a little girl I remember going with my grandparents from Florence on the train into Grand Central Station in 1960 and visiting Aunt Betsy and Uncle Bob before Liz and Kathy.were born. We had a wonderful visit touring NYC especially the trip to see the Rockettes. In later years when we had a huge family Christmas, Aunt Betsy beamed as the tour guide as she took us downtown to see the Christmas windows in Macy's and a show at Radio City Music Hall.
When she came to see my family and me in Colorado after my son was born she totally spoiled all 3 of my children by buying them wonderful toys that they played with for years!! I remember looking out of my window and seeing her in the backyard dancing with my children! May we remember her wonderful spirit. She will be greatly missed.

I met her but once, butI will not easily forget her. I'd put her in the feisty column, for sure. My prayers and that of the Pearl River UMC are with the family now.

Meeting and talking with your mother was a joy. She was so proud of her life and so friendly about sharing it. Our prayers will be with you, Arthur and Josh as you go through this difficult time. The loss of a mother will never heal but God and time will help.
Thinking of you,
