Elizabeth Ellen Mikesell

Elizabeth Ellen Mikesell, age 78, of North Manchester, IN, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on April 18, 1947, in Rochester, IN, she was the daughter of Jesse and Helen (Dague) Brown.
Beth attended Rochester High School and graduated with the class of 1965. She then attended Ball State University. In 1988 she attended Hixon's School of Floral Design. Beth worked as an aide at Thorncreek Elementary School, then as a floral designer at Carriage House Flowers, before becoming a quality inspector at Biomet, Inc. until her retirement.
Beth was an active member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City, where she was also a dedicated volunteer. She was a vibrant, creative, and adventurous woman who loved flower arranging, gardening, quilting, and traveling, which she shared with her many close friends and family members. Beth's deep love of family contributed to frequent gatherings, often initiated with an email from her that would read, "We need to get together." Sometimes they were for a couple of hours, sometimes for a day, and sometimes for a weekend or longer, but always with the shared elements of good company, engaging activities, lots of laughter and great food, each of which reflected her character and nature.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Scott (Tammy) Mikesell of Holland, OH, Brian (John Weinstein) Mikesell of Great Barrington, MA, and Chad (Jodi) Mikesell of Larwill; grandchildren Trae Mikesell, Ashlyn (Tanner) DuVall, Brett (Kayla) Mikesell, Isaac Mikesell, and Jacob Mikesell; siblings Joyce Mills of North Manchester, Walter (Sherry) Brown of Brownsburg, IN, and Richard Brown of Rochester, IN; brother-in-law David Warner of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Jessica Mikesell, and sister Carol Warner.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 27 at New Hope Wesleyan Church, 971 North 400 West, Columbia City. Friends and family may visit an hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am.
