Elizabeth Lee Orff, age 65, passed from this life on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Liz was born July 10, 1957, in Waco, Texas to William David Turner, Jr. and Marjorie Viola (White) Turner. She married the love of her life, Russell Orff, on December 2, 1988. Their love story began and they enjoyed playing golf and spending time traveling together. Liz loved her family and her dogs. She proudly graduated from TCJC with a degree in Nursing, in December 1990. Liz worked as a certified oncology nurse and was passionate at helping patients and their families through their difficult times. No words can express how much Liz will be missed and what a brilliant mind the medical field has lost.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marjorie Turner.
Liz is survived by her beloved husband, Russell Eugene Orff, Jr. of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Rachel Martinez and husband, Chris, grandchildren, Hope and Christopher Martinez, great grandchild, Remi Kate Garrett; daughter, Debbie Pesqueda and husband, Joe, grandchildren, Alex Leal and Lexi Pesqueda; daughter, René Orff, grandchild, Trendan Parish; son, Rex Orff; and her precious Fur Baby, Bentley; brothers, Ronald David Turner, and Billy Turner and wife, Sheila; and multiple nieces and nephews.
The visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, and burial will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
