Elizabeth Loise Oswald, 87, of Jacksonville, AR, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, with her sister by her side.

Born on April 3, 1938, Elizabeth spent a long and distinguished career in the insurance industry, retiring after serving as Vice President at First Pyramid Life.

Elizabeth was a highly respected professional and a dedicated leader within her field. She was deeply involved in the Little Rock, AR chapter of Insurance Women's for many years, where she was known for her commitment and service, and had the honor of serving as the chapter's president through various terms.

Beyond her professional life, Elizabeth was a woman of generous spirit and many talents. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, and reading, with Guideposts being her favorite publication. She possessed a true passion for cooking, always eager to try a new recipe, and was known to start her day simply at the kitchen table with a Coke and olives, in hand.

Elizabeth was best defined by her character: she had a big heart, was profoundly generous, and deeply loving. She was known for her kindness and grace, never saying a bad word about anyone. Her huge love of dogs brought her immense joy, and in her final days, one of her last wishes was to have her room full of pictures of all her family's dogs.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Arps, and a nephew.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving sisters, Melba Gleason and Ethel Payne, as well as five nieces who will carry her memory in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local animal shelter or humane society in honor of Elizabeth's lifelong love for her canine companions.
