Elizabeth Leah Roberts, a vibrant and accomplished soul, passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 36.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, C.W. and Maybelle Brewer; paternal grandmother, Carlene Roberts; and close friend, Josh Nieves.
Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Bruce and Teresa Roberts; brother, Bruce Lee Roberts, III; paternal grandfather, Bruce Roberts; and her best friends, Preston Jones and Lindsay Rushing. Lindsay, her husband Jarred, and their children, Tinleigh, Leighton, Deacon, Grayson, Weston, Oakleigh, and Timothy were a second family to Elizabeth. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles in an extended large family.
Born on March 20, 1989, Elizabeth was full of life from the very beginning, often trying to escape her bassinet shortly after her birth. A true Daddy's girl, she seemed to recognize her father's voice as soon as she entered the world.
Elizabeth spent her formative years traveling around the country as her family moved due to her father's service in the army. Eventually, they settled on the Coast, where she developed deep roots, growing up primarily in Gulfport while maintaining strong connections to Woolmarket.
A go-getter at heart, Elizabeth embraced the working world early on as a teenager. Her career was marked by excellence and dedication, with roles that often placed her in management positions. She had a memorable tenure at Sear's Portrait Studio, following in her mother’s footsteps. With a passion for cooking and entertaining, Elizabeth took a bold step and became the owner and chef of Cafe Lemoyne in St. Martin, where her culinary talents shone brightly. In the years leading up to her passing, Elizabeth served as the operations manager for a local HVAC company. She amazed everyone around her with her unwavering commitment, seemingly working around the clock to care for both her customers and associates. Her academic pursuits were significant as well; she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from USM-Gulf Coast.
Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of hard work, passion, and the warmth she brought into every room she entered. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Elizabeth fought a courageous battle against cancer. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped her along the way. Elizabeth professed her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a child and followed Him in baptism. We take comfort in the knowledge she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at The Wilderness Place Church, 208 Pass Road, Gulfport, MS. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm and interment is at Southern Memorial Park, 2076 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is honored to serve the Roberts family.
