Elizabeth Rubenstein Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallingford Funeral Home - Wallingford on Dec. 19, 2024.
Elizabeth "Betty" Rubenstein, 74, of Wallingford, loving wife of Thomas Rubenstein for 48 years, passed away December 17, 2024 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Betty was born in New Haven on August 15, 1950, the daughter of the late Alfred and Julia (Kusmerski) Huhla.
Betty worked for Anthem Blue Cross as a claims adjustor for 30 years until retiring. In her personal life she found enjoyment in gardening, and going to plays and concerts with her family. She also had a passion for crocheting & crafting to share with her loved ones. In her youth she loved to travel to Nantucket & other New England hidden gems. Her home was always filled with music such as Elvis, Beatles & Neil Diamond or she could be found by a warm fire, a cat curled up on her lap with a good book or a true crime on television. Once her granddaughter entered her world it changed completely. She then found enjoyment in being her biggest cheerleader for all her activities. She adored her time supporting her and snuggling up on the couch with her.
In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Damato; and her granddaughter, Kadence G. Damato.
Betty's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2 pm until 5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, December 23, 2024 directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville, Interment will be private.
