Betsy Ammerman-Schrader transcended this earthly existence to continue her soul journey on October 15, 2021 with her family by her side at Mayo Hospital.
Betsy was born February 13, 1978 in Eau Claire, WI to Don and Carol Ammerman. She graduated from ChiHi in 1996. Later, she met and married Bill Schrader and they moved to River Falls, WI completing their family with a son named Devan. Betsy studied at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, MN where she graduated the nursing program with honors. She worked at several healthcare facilities before choosing SkyView Elementary as her final place of employment doing what she loved most, taking care of children as a school nurse.
Betsy's interests included spending as much time as possible with her family, crafting, cake decorating, cheering at her son's choir and band performances, helping coach her son's lego league, and attending music events with her friends. She especially loved fishing with her father and accompanying her brother to various sporting events.
Betsy is survived by her son, Devan; parents, Don and Carol Ammerman; brother, Jeremy (Jennie) Ammerman; nephews and niece, Aiden, Conner (Alanna), Jericho, Harmony, and Sebastian.
Betsy will always be remembered for her caring personality, welcoming spirit, exuberant laughter, and being the greatest cheerleader to all who crossed her path.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services - Celebration of Life Center in Altoona. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Celebration of Life Center.
