Elizabeth M. Scott, known affectionately by many as Betty, passed away on February 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 9, 1947, in Uxbridge, MA, Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to nurturing her family. Elizabeth was a witty and thoughtful woman, whose humble charm brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her. She was a long-time resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where she enjoyed simple pleasures such as strolling in the park with her husband and beloved dogs Ginger and Chewbacca, watching her favorite TV shows with her husband, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Ernest Sr., and their children, Jennifer Scott and fiance Scott Rice Sr., Ernest Scott Jr. and his wife Katie Scott. She was the proud grandmother to Autumn Scott, Jeremy Scott, Scott Rice Jr., Caitlin Parisi and her husband Anthony, and the great-grandmother to Lorelai Parisi. She will be greatly missed by her brother Robert Murray, her sister-in-law Marion Murray and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alice Murray, her brother Henry Murray, and her sister-in-law Carolyn Murray.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 165 West Street, Attleboro, MA.

A reception will be held and the details will be announced following the services.

All services are under the care of Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services.
