Elizabeth F. Sheridan

Elizabeth �Betty� Sheridan, 79, of Kennett Square passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2009, with her family and friends by her side. Born on September 27, 1929 to William A. Sheridan and Susan Crawford Sheridan, she was a life-long resident of Kennett Square. Since her graduation from West Chester College, she has lived a life of service to others, working as a school nurse at the Avon Grove School District for over thirty years, as a tireless volunteer at St. Michael Lutheran Church, The Encore store, and for organizations like the American Cancer Society. She will be remembered for her courage in the face of adversity, her kindness to others, and sense of humor. She is survived by her younger brother William C. Sheridan, her two nephews Brian A. Sheridan and William M. Sheridan, her niece Lauren A. Sheridan, the Yeatman-Carlino family, and the DiBiase family. She was predeceased by long-time companion Joseph Hovonitz. A memorial service in honor of Betty will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 109 E. Doe Road, Unionville at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009.
