Elizabeth A. Spas

Elizabeth "Liz" Spas, née Casserly, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on October 30, 1968, Liz grew up in East Greenbush, New York, where she spent her early years . She later moved to Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and graduated from Woonsocket High School.

For many years, Liz dedicated her career to caring for others through her work at Evergreen Centers, where she was employed until 2024. Her compassion, patience, and quiet strength touched the lives of countless children and families.

Above all else, Liz was a devoted mother. She leaves behind her beloved son, Christian Spas of North Smithfield , RI, who was the center of her world and her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her father, John Casserly III, mother, Donna (Kentzel )Casserly, and brother John Casserly IV.

She is survived by two sisters, Therese Saello (Chris) and Lori Dubois(Paul) and three brothers, Christopher Casserly, Timothy Casserly (Cheryl) and Brian Casserly along with many nieces and nephews.

Liz will be remembered for her fiery spirit, her Irish wit, her love for simple moments, and the kindness she offered freely to others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
