Elizabeth M. Taylor

Elizabeth M. Taylor, 96, of Athens, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.Born in Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Henry James Mace and Opal Leona Scott Mace. Mrs. Taylor was a Registered Nurse for a number of years and was also a longtime member of Erastus Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jackson Taylor; her sister, Neva Campbell; grandson, Jeffrey Chappa and brother, Vernon Gale Mace.Survivors include her daughter, Sabra Rockwell; great-grandchildren, Xavious Tarpkins, Tyler Wright and Kadence Wright and one sibling, Vonnie Mace.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:30 am at Erastus Christian Church. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:30 am.
