Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Wirth

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Wirth, born December 26, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away at OU Medical Center on September 11, 2026.

Betty lived a remarkable life-one defined by strength, independence, determination, hard work, and love. She was a woman who learned early in life how to stand on her own and never stopped moving forward.

Betty married young, but later spent many years as a single woman, building a life for herself through hard work and perseverance. She held many different jobs throughout her life, including working as an elevator operator. She was never afraid of hard work and always found a way to support herself.

Her determination to better herself was evident throughout her life. Betty put herself through beautician school and became a beautician. She later taught at a beautician school while simultaneously putting herself through accounting school. She continued to challenge herself, learn new things, and create opportunities for herself.

Betty eventually began working for Kerr-McGee, where she remained until her retirement. Her career was another reflection of the dedication and work ethic that defined her.

But one of the most beautiful chapters of Betty's life began when she was 68 years old.

Betty found the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Wirth. Together, Betty and Bob shared 21 wonderful years filled with love, companionship, laughter, and cherished memories. They remained together until Bob's passing in 2022.

Their love story was a beautiful reminder that it is never too late to find love, happiness, and a new beginning. For Betty, those 21 years with Bob became one of the most treasured chapters of her life.

Betty was a woman who had experienced many chapters in her lifetime. She knew what it meant to work hard, start over, learn new things, stand on her own, love deeply, and keep moving forward. Her strength and determination were woven into everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Wirth; her son, Russell Reynolds; her parents, Lester and Katherine; and her siblings, Lester, Ed, Mary, Jackie, Dorothy, and Helen.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathi Loveland and her husband, Terry; daughter-in-law, Linda Reynolds; brother, Bill Walton; grandchildren, Will Loveland, David Loveland, Kari Ochoa, Kristi Reynolds, Lee Wirth, Renee' Wirth, and Robert Wright; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Maggie-Jett Burchell, Bobby Wright, and River Wright; and stepchildren, Kent Wirth, Eddy Wirth, and Nancy Stetts.

Betty leaves behind more than a family-she leaves behind generations of people who carry pieces of her story with them. Her life was filled with challenges she overcame, dreams she pursued, people she loved, and memories that will continue to be shared.

She will be remembered for her independence, perseverance, strong spirit, and loving heart. She showed those around her that it is never too late to learn, to grow, to begin again, or to find love.

Betty's life was long, full, and uniquely her own. Her story will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepchildren, brother, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

May Betty rest peacefully, reunited with Bob, Russell, and all those she loved who went before her. May the memories she leaves behind bring comfort to those who will miss her dearly.
