Elizabeth "Betty" F. (Allen) Wisneski, 88, of East Windsor formerly of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Wisneski, died peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Betty was born in Derby, CT, on June 17, 1937, daughter of the late Chester and Lillian (Jessume) Allen. She was raised in Willimansett, MA and moved to South Windsor in March of her sophomore year of high school. Betty graduated from Ellsworth High School with the Class of 1954. In 1955 she met the love of her life, Stephen J. Wisneski while he was home from Marine Corps boot camp at an event at St. Francis of Assisi Church. The rest is history, and they were married on May 3, 1958, they built their home and raised their family in South Windsor. Betty pursued a career in real estate until she retired and moved to East Windsor in 2015. She and her husband Stephen spent many winter seasons in their Stuart, Florida home where she enjoyed golf, tennis, and watercolor painting. A kind, caring, loving, and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many, she will be dearly missed.
She leaves her children, Scott Wisneski and his wife Diana of Uniontown, OH, Diane Daleb and her husband James of Ellington, and David A. Wisneski and his wife Kelly of Vernon, her grandchildren, Joanna Larson and her husband Eric, Abigail Daleb, Noelle Wisneski, Melody Wisneski, and Joseph Wisneski, and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Zoe, Maddox, Selah, and Afton. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Jennifer and her siblings, Arthur, Shirley Chester, Arlene and Patricia.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2025, 10 a.m., meeting directly at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Heart Association.
