Ella Marie Bailey

Ella Marie Bailey, 84, of Paragon, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022.
She was born Saturday, January 15, 1938 to the late Fred and Mamie (Duff) Hart in Leslie County, Kentucky. On June 13, 1955, she married her husband, Dale Vernon Bailey who predeceased her on August 3, 2017.
Ella was a member of the Eminence High School class of 1956 and completed coursework at IUPUI. She spent many years working at Morgan County Public Library as a children's librarian prior to retirement. She loved the Lord and served as both a song leader and Sunday School teacher at Eminence Christian Church. Ella was an accomplished and gifted crafter and seamstress; leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. She spent her life taking care of her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Leann Renn of Martinsville, Rev. Terry Dale Bailey and wife Mikel of Canton, Ohio, Amy Jo Lynch and husband Rev. Gary of Indianapolis, Robert Dean Bailey and wife Michelle of Indianapolis and Dr. Jill Marie Moore and husband Jeff of Reelsville; brothers, Colson Hart of Martinsville, Curt Hart of Lebanon; sisters, Nancy Broyer of Martinsville, Joyce Ann Benge of Martinsville, Judy Clements of Cape Coral, Florida, Kathy Burns of Paragon; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Dale; parents, Fred and Mamie; brothers, Schuyler Hart, Johnny Wood Hart, James Hart, Paul Hart; son-in-law, Rev. Jim Renn.
Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at Eminence Christian Church with Rev. Terry Bailey officiating. There is a one hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Eminence Christian Church.
Burial will follow the service at Mannan Cemetery in Lewisville.
