It hurts me to admit it, but I, Ms. Ella J. Chacon, better known to you as “Ellie,” passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after struggling with liver disease.
Alcohol was not in my Vodkabulary. However, I looked it up on Whiskeypedia and learned if you drink too much of it, it’s likely Tequilya. And at 56 years young I am now gone. Before my demise I graduated from Peñasco High School, Class of 1985. Graduated from Northern New Mexico Community College and also earned an accounting degree from New Mexico Highlands University. Which, I used to help many of you get every penny you deserved back from Uncle Sam. I enjoyed being the wonderful entrepreneur that I was. I sold so many Rainbow vacuum cleaners in my day, my small landscaping business, my tax preparation side hustle, and Chaco Custom Benches, and my Sunday Pizza and Chokecherry jelly sales just to name a few.
I leave behind my beautiful Daughter, Ashley. I will miss you, make your children proud of you. I also leave behind my Grandchildren Marisol, Natalia, and Caleb. I hope you grow up to be the incredible people that you are meant to be. Please do not repeat my mistakes. Learn from them, but please work as hard as you can. I also leave behind my wonderful parents Mardoqueo and Priscilla Chacon, to whom I admit I helped them to age a few years ahead of their chronological clock. I also leave behind my sisters, Tweety, (Jose), Alexandra & Mikayla Garcia; Dee Dee (Michael) Esquibel and Angela (Michael), Estrella, Azalea & Camden Owen. I enjoyed buying my family cleaning gifts for Christmas. I always said to them before opening their gifts, “the family that cleans together stays together.”
To all my friends, you know who you are. When you are told to stop having a few too many, LISTEN to that advice, at the 11th hour you wish you had. Anyhow, I finally have the smoking hot body I always wanted, having been cremated now. Please come say “goodbye” and help my family celebrate my life. Love me or Hate me, I promise you’ll always remember me. Thank you all for sharing my life, until we meet again.
Love,
Ellie
P.S. I want to Thank my cousins for helping me when I need it the most. Thank you, Antonia, Susie, and Tammy.

This is a year later but I just now came across this. My deepest condolences to Mr. & Mrs Chacon, Tweety, Dee Dee, Angela and Ellies daughter and the entire family. I have so many great memories of Ellie. I first met you in the gym bathroom in Mora. We hit it off right of the bat. It broke my heart to read your obituary, wish I had known I would have loved to say goodbye. I did go by couple of times but never found you home. Spoke to your mom one of the times. And a girl the second time. RIP my friend, I will always treasure our memories
