Ella Westerman Ettinger

How lucky we were to have Ella and Howard as our next door neighbors for over 30 years. When we moved in, right away they let us know that they also raised two little girls in their apartment, and thus began the NYC neighborly relationship that most people only dream of. If we knocked on the door to hand over a piece of mis-delivered mail, Ella would say "Come in, come in. Sit down. Have some cookies." And we´d sit, and chat, and hear wonderful stories about her grandkids that she absolutely adored. A side note about those cookies ... Andy was such a fan of her "rocks" that she always made extra just so he could take some home.

Ella was a warm, loving, and extremely generous person. All of our family will miss her deeply, and we are so grateful to have had her in our lives.
