Ella Louise Frazier Wilson
August 8, 1943 – October 22, 2025
With hearts full of both sorrow and love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Ella Louise Frazier Wilson, who passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ella was the beloved daughter of Lavonya and Jesse Williams. She was a proud graduate of Westinghouse High School and went on to serve her community through many years of dedicated work with the City of Pittsburgh Housing Authority. After retiring from the city, Ella continued to give of herself by becoming a healthcare professional, a role she held with compassion and grace until her second retirement in 2019.
Ella was known for her strong work ethic, her kindness, and her unwavering devotion to others. She spent many years working in nursing homes as a personal care aide, where her gentle spirit touched countless lives. She also opened her heart and home as a loving foster mother to many children, offering them stability, guidance, and unconditional love.
In her younger years, Ella was known as a talented figure skater who moved with elegance and grace. She loved oldies music, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her joyful personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Ella's proudest and most treasured role was being a mother to her beloved son, John Frazier. She poured her heart into raising him, guiding him with love, strength, and unwavering faith. Their bond was one of deep admiration, laughter, and lifelong devotion.
Ella also shared a tender and enduring love with her late husband, John Wilson. Together, they built a life rooted in mutual respect, laughter, and deep affection. Through every challenge and triumph, their love remained steadfast-a true partnership of soulmates reunited once more in eternal peace. Ella was previously married to Delroy Frazier, with whom she shared a meaningful chapter of her life before his passing. She leaves behind her cherished son John (Duel) Frazier; her grandchildren Jonelle Frazier, John Frazier Jr., and Myles Frazier; and her great-grandchildren Keyondre Phiffer, Maya Frazier, Tiana Nelson, Tania Nelson, and Mylee Frazier. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Lavonya and Jesse Williams, her beloved husbands, Delroy Frazier and John Wilson, and is now joyfully reunited with all of them in Heaven.
A private celebration of Ella's life will be held with her immediate family to honor the love, laughter, and strength she so generously shared. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the healthcare providers at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, her dedicated caregivers at Ivy Park Acute Care, and the Turtle Creek Senior Center – Meals on Wheels program for their kindness, compassion, and support during her final days. Though Ella is no longer with us in body, her love lives on-in every memory, every story, and every life she touched. Her spirit will forever guide those she loved most. In the words of Ella Frazier, "Amen, I agree!"
