Ella Leora Gould, age 20, of Belding, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born on July 10, 2005, in Traverse City, Michigan, daughter of Kenneth T. and Jennifer L. (Buckler) Gould. She attended Belding Schools graduating as Salutatorian of the Class of 2023. She played clarinet in the BHS Band and was also active in the drama program, playing Pumba in The Lion King and bringing Squidward to life in that role in Spongebob Squarepants. She had pastimes as well, enjoying board games, and Nintendo, and was a big fan of Legos. Ella had worked at Rob Roy / Stahlin Enclosures as an Intern for two summers and had also worked in the production area for a time as well.
Memories of Ella will be cherished by her loving parents, Ken and Jennifer Gould of Belding; her brothers, Kenneth T. Gould, Jr. and Joseph L. Gould both of Belding; her grandparents Terry and Rita Gould of Weidman, Karen (Loren) Arndt of Bay City, and Lyle Buckler of Alaska; her dear great grandmother, Lois Buckler; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a great grandfather, Billy Buckler.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, evening August 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding. Ella’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 403 S. Bridge Street Belding, with Fr. Michael Goodwin the Celebrant.
