Ella Fern Ludwick, age 76 of Spring Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday morning, November 25, 2022, at her residence. Born on November 14, 1946, in Moorefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Guy Lakin Funkhouser and Elizabeth Gochenour Funkhouser. Her husband, Cline Arnold “A.J.” Ludwick, Jr. preceded her in death in February 2008. Her siblings, Leonard (Elaine) Funkhouser, Harlin (Lynne) Funkhouser, Lois (Harlan) Liller and Alverta (Woodrow) See and nephews, Earl Steven See and Ernest See also preceded her in death.
Mom (Fern) enjoyed going to sporting events, making quilts and apple butter, gardening, putting puzzles together, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and grand kids. She lived life to the fullest. She was ready to go home with her lord and savior with family by her side. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Surviving are two sons, Chad (fiancé Bethany) Gilhuys and Shawn Gilhuys of Moorefield, WV; three granddaughters, Rilei, Alexia & Macie; nephews & nieces, Barbara See, Glenda (Keith) Smith & family, Brent (DiAnna) Liller and family, Deanne Funkhouser, Guy Funkhouser, Lynn (Stella) See & family and Anita (Roger) Vance & family.
Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 PM (Noon), Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Stret with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiant. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Potomac Memorial Gardens, 597 Cemetery Road, Keyser, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Wednesday until time of services. Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
