Ella Romano

Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

Mom Romano was a pretty special lady to put up with two crazy teenage car nuts and athletes that drove her and her husband nuts during those developmental years. But it was her keen guidance and understanding that helped shape those rough edges and guide us toward a decent and rewarding life. God bless Ella and may she RIP. My memories are many and fond.

She was always so much fun and so good to me and my brothers as a child......Aunt Ella always made us laugh and was a welcome sight at Grandma Olga and Grandpa Fred's house. We loved spending time with her and will miss her greatly.........May they all be together again in Heaven. We love you,
Alex

When Fred and I were first married, Fred Sr. & Olga drove out in their van and brought along Ella. Ella and Olga were like very young girls seeing everything for the first time. Ella always so sweet and happy, and Olga loved being with her. Fred Sr.had his hands full with those two fun ladies.
I will always remember that great visit, and sad to have another wonderful relative go to" Little Italy," in Heaven. Love, Diana Recchio

My Fathers family knew Ella from their years living in the old Saint Lucy's neighborhood. Growing up we had the pleasure of being neighbors on Lakeview Terrace. The Romano house was like a second home for my Brother Ralph and I and Mrs. Romano was like a second Mother to all the local neighborhood kids. Always a beautiful smile and tolerant of us having our "Navy Blue" club meetings with Johnny in her attic and keeping us from wanting to send "Cuddles" the cat down the laundry chute.
Sunday Pasta dinners in the Romano home could always find you another chair.
In later years she shared her joy as we began to get Married and have Children. She loved when we would visit with the Children and later our Grandchildren. They all knew her from the stories I shared especially when I would tell them that she would make the best pancakes I had ever tasted.
On our last visits she enjoyed the Family pictures I would share and telling her how everyone was doing. She always had a big smile and a thank you.
Rest in Peace Ella and Thank you for being such a bright spot for a majority of my life.
