Susie accepted Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Yantley, Alabama. Throughout her life, she served faithfully in many roles, including Sunday School Teacher, Pastor's Aid President, Financial Secretary, and Church Usher. Her dedication to her church and her community was evident in everything she did.

In her early years, Susie attended Kinterbish Junior High School, where she graduated in 1972. She continued her education at Sumter County High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1976. Following high school, Susie enrolled at Stillman College, where she studied for four years and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, graduating with the Class of 1980. After completing her studies, Susie married the love of her life, Robert Earl Rowe. Their marriage flourished for 45 beautiful years until God called her home.

Susie had a deep passion for cooking, baking, and feeding others, and she found joy in caring for the neighborhood children who were always welcome in her home. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent many years employed at the Rocking Chair Truck Stop in Cuba, Alabama, as well as BG's Burger in York, Alabama. She also worked at the TA Truck Stop in Russell, Mississippi. Because of her love for children and her commitment to her community, she later served as a substitute teacher in the Sumter County School System.
