ELLA Mae Worrell "Mae" Ella Mae Dickens Worrell of Denton, Maryland went to be home with the Lord on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the age of 82. She was surrounded by family. Ella Mae was the daughter of the late Greely Dickens and the late Ethel Creed of North Carolina. Ella Mae retired from the St. Mary's Veteran's Home in Charlotte Hall, Maryland until she moved to Denton, Maryland in 2008 to be closer to family. Ella Mae attended Living Waters Assembly in Denton, where she loved to hand out candy to the children before church services started. She was known as the "Candy Lady". Ella Mae enjoyed reading her Bible, watching game shows and Andy Griffith.

Ella Mae is survived by her four children; Bobbie Rittenhouse (Bruce), Ronnie Worrell, Terri Lawson (Daine) and Marsha Hayman (the late F. Marc Hayman); five grand-children: Gary Lawson, Jimmy Rittenhouse, Chris Rittenhouse, Marlin Hayman (Brittany) and Rebekah Garner (Rj) and eight great-grandchildren: Kaiden and Annabelle Lawson, Alivia Rittenhouse, Dylan and Jacob Rittenhouse, Sophia Hayman and twins to be born in June.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Noon with Mattingly-Gardiner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.A. in Leonardtown, Maryland. (Dickens)
