I worked with Ellen at Briggs Animal Adoption Center. She touched everyone and everything there and her absence is palpable. She was, of course, the consummate professional but, more importantly, she was always kind, always empathetic. Everything she did demonstrated her love for the animals and we know they are looking for her still. I miss you, Ellen.

My thoughts and prayers go to Ellen´s family and friends/colleagues at Briggs. I first met Ellen when I was asked to help socialize some Aussie pups. Myself, my neighbor and my 9 yo Husky (Samantha) sat in a room while Ellen carried in 4 pups, one at a time. She watched as each pup interacted or not with my dog. Samantha picked the only female (Talkeetna) of the litter as her new mate to be. Ellen spent the next 2-3 months working/observing the pair as they interacted at Briggs and during home visits, to ensure a successful adoption - it worked! We saw Ellen at walks and at the reunions, she always came over to say "hi". After adopting TK, I often sent emails and pictures of the girls- Ellen always took the time to send a response. Trainer@baacs, we´re going to miss you!.
