I have just seen about Ellen passing now. I was a student of hers at Duzine Elementary School in New Paltz. There is know doubt in my mind that she helped me excel and prosper. Giving so much of her self to help her students succeed. I still to this day, think of her often with great affection.

Ellen and I first became friends at Antioch College. We both moved to the Boston area afterwards and became teachers. Ellen supervised some of my student teachers in Cambridge. I touched base with her a couple of years ago and she loved sharing news of her daughters and grandchildren. She was a gifted and creative individual who I admired greatly. I send my condolences to her family.

It was such a joy to get to know Ellen while we were living in Boston in our early 20s. It was beautiful to see the community she built and it showed us a way of living deeply into one´s values.

May her memory be a blessing.

With love,

Ellen was an incredible influence on our family, and specifically on our two children as they soaked up of minute they could earn with her during their years at Driscoll School in Brookline. Ellen inspired each of our children to truly enjoy their educational journeys. She was a gift to all those who knew her and especially those fortunate enough to have been taught by her. Our children were so eager to earn the opportunity to learn from Ellen that in grades K-4, each of them worked their tails off to ensure they would be among the students deemed advanced enough to "qualify" to be pulled out of regular classes in favor of accelerated classes with "Miss Davidson." Our children adored her and learned not only a work ethic, but also a life-long curiosity and quest for learning from Miss Davidson. She was truly a treasure to our family and our Driscoll community. We were all blessed to know her. Thank you for sharing her with us. May she rest in peace.
