Ellen Lynn Freeman, 61, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1964 in Bedford, a daughter of the late John F. and Marian J. (Isaac) Askey. On August 30, 2003 in Bedford, she married Christopher D. Freeman who survives along with the following family: one daughter, Meagan Fabian and husband Matthew of East Liverpool, OH; one son, Ian Fetter and wife Whitney of Bedford; two step-daughters: Kerrigan Freeman of Edenton, NC and Drew Freeman of San Antonio, TX; two granddaughters: Kayleigh and Emaleigh Fetter; one sister, Jill M. Askey of Minneapolis, MN; and one brother, Raymond C. Askey and wife Susan of Altoona.
Ellen worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years at Bedford Hospital. She enjoyed camping, boating, gardening, and other outdoor activities. She also enjoyed doing cross-stitch and other crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and her dogs were very special to her.
