Ellen A. Gniazdowski

During the 1950´s I took ballet classes from Miss Ellen at her studio. I have fond memories of our yearly recitals at the Lyric Theater and the beautiful costumes we wore, I am now 75, and about five years ago my Zumba instructor asked if I had any ballet training in the past. I guess she could tell that Miss Ellen´s teachings have remained with me over the years. May her family be comforted by the happiness she brought to her students.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Miss Ellen. I studied ballet with her from age 5 to 12 and went back to her as an adult at 26. She was such a wonderful role model and a truly beautiful person. She was always kind and nurturing. Many of my childhood memories involve Miss Ellen. I loved her summer dance camps where she taught me to sew. She touched so many lives. May her memory be a blessing.
